The ride through Spiti is an adrenaline-charged experience for every adventurer within. Located in the heart of the Himalayas, Spiti valley is engulfed with mystic beauty of nature leaving you mesmerized with every mile conquered on the rugged terrains’ gateway to the mighty Himalayan passes  is a challenge for the venturesome one in a lifetime journey for the wonder lust. Spiti, one of the most impressive high valleys on earth. Spiti is one of the least populated areas of India, wild mountain ranges and high passes have preserved the millennia-old culture like no other in the world. Literally translated, Spiti means “midland”, the land between Tibet and India. Also known as “Little Tibet” – locals and exiled Tibetans live here together in harmony and freedom. The ride through the Himalayan desert mountain valley is breathtaking – and can be challenging at times. We wind our way higher and higher over winding dirt tracks and roads, from dense evergreen jungles to the 4,551-meter high Kunzum La Pass. It is a drive through an unreal landscape shaped by the ruggedness of the Himalayas, unique wildlife and the beauty of untamed nature, a part of the world all but forgotten by civilisation.

ABOUT SPITI:

Spiti is the land of monasteries and has open landscapes preserved deep in the mighty himalayas. The valley boasts of wide varieties of flora and fauna. Snow leopards and himalayan wolves are also spotted in the pin valley national park during the winters. Spiti valley has an altitude of 12,500 feet above sea level. Spiti is scantily populated and is an adventure lover’s paradise. Spiti is surrounded by tibet in the east, ladakh in the north, kullu and lahaul in the south and kinnaur in the south east Spiti is considered one of the most fossil rich areas in the world by the geological survey of india Ride & visit the tabo monastery which is a world heritage site by unesco. It is situated at 3500 metres above sea level. Tabo monastery was built in 996 ad and is more than 1000 years old. CHECKIN IN TO YOUR LOVELY HOTEL ROOM TODAY. TEAM GET’s TOGETHER Our Day begins by acclimatization at the Popular Hill-Station- SHIMLA and pleasant night Stay. After breakfast, we all gather and get together. We discuss about our long route journey via Spiti to Leh . After the debriefing, The day is left to you for exploring Shimla and its surroundings. Nestled amidst the magical woods and stunning hills, Shimla is located at an average altitude of about 2206 meters above mean sea level. The hill station Shimla is an impeccable destination for tourists across the globe. It is a very scenic and auspicious place. The colonial era is evident from the buildings and the historic temples in Shimla.

DAY 2 (SHIMLA - SARAHAN) :

Travelling Distance – 165 km
Altitude(Sarhan)- 2313m 
Altitude Gain - 111m

Early Morning we say Good bye to the the hillside town of Shimla After the evening well spent at Higher altitudes We now head towards higher altitudes in the Himalayas!, Today’s riding day is along the Sutlej River to Sarahan. On the way we have spectacular views of the Sutlej valley that this mighty river has shaped over thousands of years. The picturesque village of Sarahan, located at almost 2.00 meters, impresses with its setting We aim to arrive in Sarahan mid-afternoon , enabling a tour of the stunning Bhimakali temple. The interesting Indo-Tibetan style Bhimakali Temple is worth a visit. It has shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Raghunath and Lord Narasimha and there is also a small museum. This is a sacred temple of the Hindus and is an architectural marvel. It is believed to be at least 800 years old.

DAY 3 (SARAHAN - SANGLA - KALPA - CHITKUL) :

Travelling Distance – 105 km
Altitude(Chitkul)- 3450m 
Altitude Gain - 1137m

Today we ride through beautiful nature with great views and good insights into local life. The village of Sangla has a temple dedicated to Lord Nagesh. In the village of Kamru, 2 km from the village of Sangla, we visit a five-story wooden fort. There is also a temple dedicated to the goddess Kamakshi. Arriving in Kalpa, we have to apply for the innerline border permit, which authorizes us to continue riding close to the Tibetan border.

DAY 4 (CHITKUL - KALPA) :

Travelling Distance – 105 km
Altitude(Chitkul)- 3450m 
Altitude Gain - 1137m
Grade/Duration -  Moderate/Approx. 9

A shorter day riding on the motorcycles, ending up in Kalpa, and spectacular views of the peaks of Kinner Kailash. Rest afternoon to explore.

DAY 5 (KALPA - NAKO) :

Nako is one of our absolute favourite places to visit when we tour the Himalayas. Remote and perched up on the Tibet border, you feel like you step back hundreds of years in time. Lake Nako is at the center, formed by the melted snow and ice from the nearby peaks. Today is a mix of motor touring and includes the endless hairpins of the Kah Loops. Tonight, is glamping and telling stories around a campfire. Almost the whole day takes us through the beautiful Kinnaur valley, and we follow the Sutlej river. Nako is the last village in the Kinnaur valley on the Indo-Tibet highway and is famous for its lake which is the lifeline of the village. We will find that the landscape gradually turns into a high desert region.

DAY 6 (NAKO - GIO - TABO - KAZA) :

Travelling Distance – 115 km
Altitude(Kaza)- 3800m 
Altitude Gain - 175m

We continue along this secluded part of the Spiti Valley, through this "world within a world", tucked away high up in the Himalayas. Now we travel through desert landscapes dotted with emerald-green villages and split by the roaring Spiti River. Being close to the Tibetan border, there is a large Buddhist influence in this region, and today we visit the oldest, continually operating Buddhist monastery in India, Tabo. Giu is the most remote village of Spiti and is near the Tibet (China) border. Giu Village is also famous for the ancient mummy of a monk sitting in meditation, which is intact to this day.Tabo (3,050 meters) is the largest monastic complex of Spiti. It is famous for its monastery, which is more than 1,000 years old. In 1996, Tabo Monastery celebrated its millennium with a Kalachakra ceremony led by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. We explore the monastery and its numerous temples.

DAY 7 (KAZA - CHANDRATAL) :

Amazing days riding, this road throws all the best motorcycle adventure riding at us. Lots of water crossings, rock, sand and gravel, picking our way up to the hidden village of Chandratal and its stunningly blue lake. You won't forget today's ride . Chandratal Lake- The landscape is like no other ,The kind of vista you see at Chandratal is hard to find elsewhere & you will surely be mesmerized Chandratal, or Chandra Taal, is a high altitude lake located in Lahaul & Spiti region of Himachal Pradesh. The name of the lake literally means ‘The Lake of the Moon’ and is owed to its crescent shape. At an altitude of 4,300 meters, it is the source of Chandra River. There are vast meadows on the banks Chandratal, favorite among the gaddi shepherds to graze their livestock. In the spring season, these meadows are carpeted with hundreds of varieties of wildflowers and attract thousands of tourists and flowers. Chandratal is open for tourists from early June to Mid October. Between December to April, it remains in a completely frozen state. Chandratal Lake Weather Freezing Cold is how the weather at Chandratal can be best described. The lake sits surrounded by glaciers so a chill in the wind remains present at all times. Chances of a snowfall remain throughout the year, though very less from June to August. Temperature at Chandratal Lake The average temperature at Chandratal in summers remains between 5 to 10 degrees during the day and 0 Degrees Celsius at night. In winters, the average temperature is -20 Degrees Celsius.

DAY 8 (CHANDRATAL - MANALI) :-FINAL DAY

Altitude(Manali)- 2050m 
Altitude Loss - 2250m
Grade/Duration - Difficult/Approx. 6-7 Hours
Highlights - Ride across the Kunzum Pass, Rohtang Pass
Accommodation- Not included at Manali.

Today is another spectacular day of motorcycle riding. An awesome day of riding & challenging you with everything in it sand, rock water crossing- you name it you ride it. Sweeping scenery riding through gorgeous along cliffs up to the peaks and back down to the river plains Today we start very early by 6am. We ride across the Kunzum Pass, 4,551 meters, which separates Spiti from the Lahaul Valley, and then descend into the sublimely beautiful valley of the Chandra River. On The Way back We Will Cross ATAL TUNNEL and Reach Manali By Early afternoon. Once You reach we will collect Your BikesBack And This Is The End Of Your Motorbiking Expedition. The rest of the day is at leisure.spend your time indulging in cafe hopping, visiting the local market, Mall road, etc. Later in the evening, You can take an overnight bus from Manali to Delhi.

RIDE INCLUSIONS & EXCLUSIONS

Ride Inclusions & Exclusions

SECTION A: PACKAGE WITHOUT MOTORCYCLE

  1. Accommodation in hotels / camps / guest houses on double/triple sharing from start to end of your ride itinerary.

  2. Meals - breakfast and dinner starting from start to end of your ride itinerary.

  3. Services of the experienced trip leader and motorbike mechanic

  4. Services of the backup vehicle for a group of more than 5 motorcyclist / 2 suv cars /5 mtb riders

  5. First aid kit and oxygen cylinder at dispersal with the ride leader

  6. Assured inner line permits and ladakh union fee.

  7. A backup vehicle (suv/traveler/bolero camper) to carry your luggage and spare parts from day-1

  8. Facility to carry luggage in a vehicle restricted to 1 rucksack / duffle bag of 50-70 liters per motorbike. 

  9. Oxygen cylinder and basic first aid during the tour

  10. Evening bonfire (at places allowed & that are safe)

  11. Driver expenses/ toll tax/ fuel/ parking charges

 

SECTION B: PACKAGE WITH MOTORCYCLE

  1. Everything that is included in Section - A

  2. Royal Enfield -350cc / 500cc / Himalayan motorcycle

  3. Motorcycle fuel for the complete trip as per the itinerary/ extra fuel for back up

  4. Standard helmet for both rider and pillion

  5. Riding gears for rider (knee pads and elbow guards are included in the package for the whole trip)

 

RIDE EXCLUSIONS:

  1. Gst 5%

  2. Adventure travel insurance

  3. Any airfare / rail fare other than what is mentioned in “inclusions.”

  4. Airport, railway station or bus stop pick up or drop.

  5. Personal expenses like telephone, laundry, tips and table drinks, etc.

  6. The cost of any spare part will be used due to the accidental damage incurred when the motorcycle /suv/mtb is in the rider’s possession.

  7. The cost incurred to transfer or tow the motorcycle /suv/ mtb in case it is dropped on the way.

  8. Motorcycle /suv/ mtb servicing or maintenance cost.

  9. Any extra lunch and other meals not mentioned in package inclusions

  10. Security deposit per motorcycle of rs. 10,000/-. As per the deposit policy (this is totally refundable at the end of the trip if there are no damage or spare parts used.)

  11. Security deposit per suv of rs. 25,000/-. As per the deposit policy (this is totally refundable at the end of the trip if there are no damage or spare parts used.)

  12. Security deposit for mtb of rs. 5,000/-. As per the deposit policy (this is totally refundable at the end of the trip if there are no damage or spare parts used.)

  13. Parking and monument entry fees during sightseeing.

  14. Any cost incurred due to extension, change of itinerary due to natural calamities, road, blocks, vehicle breakdown, union issues and factors beyond our control

  15. Additional accommodation/food cost incurred due to any delay

  16. The cost for the single sharing accommodation will inccur additional costs which needs to be confirmed prior the ride.
