DAY 1 (MANALI STAY) :

Travelling Distance - 0km

Highlights - Orientation, Manali Exploration
Accommodation- Good Hotel.

Manali - After breakfast, you will get your first chance to ride your choice of motorcycle, Start your Indian motorcycle tour by exploring Manali and its surroundings with a local guide. You can also visit Naggar Castle, Roerich Art Gallery, Hindu Temples and the hot springs in Vashisht.

DAY 2 (MANALI - JISPA) :

Travelling Distance - 140km
Altitude(Jispa)- 3080m 
Altitude Gain - 1030m
Grade/Duration - Moderate/Approx. 8 Hours
Highlights - Atal Tunnel, Keylong.
Accommodation: Large tents with attached WC and proper camp beds.

Wake up early this morning and begin your adventure. Start your ride to Rohtang Pass (3978 meters). The beautiful mountain pass is the gateway to your bike tour. The pass provides mesmerizing views of the Himalayas and also serves as the divider between the humid Kullu valley and the high altitude Lahaul and Spiti valleys. It will be an amazing and thrilling experience to cross your first mountain pass of the journey on Manali Leh highway. The road is almost smooth except for a few water crossings. This first leg of your journey is your first challenge as the roads are really bad and the weather conditions are also uncertain. This place is famed for its inhospitable snow storms and blizzards. Overcome your first test, after which you will pass through the Lahaul Valley. Lahaul introduces you to the mountains capped with snow all around. Proceed to Jispa, which is your halt for the day. Jispa is at 10,000 ft (3,300 m approx). Enjoy a delicious dinner of the mountains. Steamed momos and thukpa are famous traditional Himalayan items for dinner. Fill your stomachs and be off to your well-deserved rest. Overnight stay in Jispa. Take your time to acclimatize here. This is the last habitat place and now on barren land will start. The real adventure is just about to begin from here. So get relaxed and be ready for tomorrow’s challenging ride.

DAY 3 (JISPA - SARCHU) :

Altitude(Sarchu)- 4201m 
Altitude Gain - 1121m
Grade/Duration - Difficult/Approx. 6 Hours
Highlights - Deepak Tal, Baralacha La, Riding along Tsarap River
Accommodation: Large tents with attached WC and proper camp beds.

Today, you will leave to ride to the higher regions, following zigzag uphill roads in the shadow of hanging glaciers, to the scenic Baralacha La (4800 m / 15,748 ft.). It is one of the most dangerous mountain passes in the world. You may feel low oxygen on this pass and it will test how properly you are acclimatized. It is the second mountain pass on Leh Manali highway. As you leave Jispa behind, enter the Greater Himalayan landscape. This highway route takes you into the heart of the mountains. The road from Jispa to Sarchu is a colossal collection of bends, curves, hairpins, water crossings and beautiful scenery. Keep driving towards Sarchu which is the border-line between Kashmir and Himachal. From there, get to the Sarchu camp. Relax for the rest of the day and keep a high intake on fluids to keep away AMS (acute mountain sickness). Overnight stay in Sarchu campsite.

DAY 4 (SARCHU - LEH) :

Grade/Duration - Difficult/Approx. 8 Hours
Highlights - Gata Loops, Twin Passes

The spectacular day starts with a lot of challenges. Today you will have to ride your motorbike through flatlands and get into the mountain horizon. Blasting across the More Plains, and dipping down through hairpins into Leh, are also just a handful of the highlights of moto touring today. Leaving the vast Sarchu plateau, we head up a twisty road until you reach Namik La (4950 m / 16,240 ft.), where you can experience the spectacular views of rugged rocks and their unique geological formation. Then you go over Lachu Lang La (5090 m / 16,699 ft.). before riding through the rocky gorges to Pang. We ride the infamous Gata Loops, a series of never-ending hairpin bends and cross three high passes, including the second-highest in the world Tanglang La. Some riders could feel discomfort, but generally it should go smoothly. The journey will provide all the magnificent views of the Himalayas along with possible views of the fauna that finds these habitats to their liking. After crossing this pass, you will ride through well-maintained roads all the way to Leh. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.

DAY 5 (LEH - Rest Day) :

Rest day, shopping and local sightseeing in Leh.

Today you will rest and roam around in the city or market and visit souvenir shops. You can visit an ancient monastery, the Leh Palace, or just watch the world go by in the Leh market. There are lots of things to do here such as visiting the fort, palace or monastery (the Dalai Lama sometimes is in town and speaks here). Or just relax in one of our favourite restaurants overlooking the square and watch Himalayan life go by. Leh offers various tourist attraction, Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, Trekking trails, Museum, Jama Masjid, Gurdwara Pathar Sahib just to name a few. The ancient capital of Ladakh, Leh rich in history and tradition will offer you a day of well-earned rest and relaxation. A community of various religions (Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism) co-existing in perfect harmony. It give a resemblance to Tibet. Many Tibetan refugees also live here who came here after incursion of China into Tibet. Now you are in the Ladakh and more adventure is waiting for you.

DAY 6 (LEH- KHARDUNG LA-NUBRA VALLEY) :

Highlight of todays ride is to ride to the top of the world - the Khardungla Pass (5359m), the world's highest motorable pass.Steep turns, low oxygen & weather unpredictability rank the ride among the most challenging ride, located 40 kilometres from Leh. Following that, we'll travel to the Nubra Valley. The ride towards Nubra Valley is scenic and exhilarating through Khardung La, The highest motorable road on earth. Capture amazing pictures with your motorcycle & team after reaching Khardung La and then we hit the road quickly as it is not safe to spend much time on top of the pass due to the high altitude and thin air. We stop for lunch after riding down from the pass and then continue our journey.We will make a stop at Diskit Monastery for prayers. Our arrival in the valley will be welcomed by the white sand dunes and the sightings of the double-hump Bactrian camels grazing. Overnight stay at guest house.

DAY 7 (NUBRA VALLEY-SHYOK-PANGONG LAKE) :

Today we ride towards the most photographed & beautiful Lake in Ladakh, Pangong Lake.It is a day of riding through slushy muddy & water crossings. Few water crossings en route are so huge and challenging, nothing like you have seen before. Later, face hilly curves along the Shyok river. Most of our ride is going to be along the beautiful Shyok River and through the villages like Agham, Shyok, Durbuk, and Tangste. After crossing Durbuk, the last stretch of the ride is going to be along the lake. Upon reaching Pangong, we will check in to our cottages where we will have dinner followed by an overnight stay. Overnight camp stays near the Pangong lake at Tangste or Spangmik..

DAY 8 (PANGONG LAKE -CHANG LA- LEH) :

Travelling Distance - 150km
Altitude(LEH)- 3524m 
Altitude Loss- 701m
Grade/Duration -  Moderate/Approx. 5 Hours
Highlights – Chang La, Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery. 
Accommodation: Hotel just outside of town.

Today is the grand finale of your Indian motorcycle trip, Depart for Pangong Lake after breakfast. We will start on the narrow road along the Pangong lake coast. You will encounter numerous water streams on the road The journey today will take us over the second-highest pass in the world, Chang La (17,590 ft). The pass is considered one of the hardest in the world.Traversing through Chang La (17,586 ft), which is one of the highest passes in the world.After crossing Chang La, we halt for Lunch. Just before reaching Leh, we are going to pass through the Thiksey monastery and the popular Druk White Lotus School. There will be a quick halt to explore the monastery . The journey continues on the Manali-Leh highway after descending from the pass to Shakti. After riding for approximately an hour, we will arrive in Leh for the second time during the expedition. Stay Overnight in a hotel. And you have done this. Head back to Leh for a free evening and Spend The Night Over at a luxury hotel.

DAY 9 (LEH - Rest Day) :

Travelling Distance - 0km
Altitude- 3524m 
Altitude Loss - 701m
Highlights –  Bid adieu to Leh
Accommodation: Not included.
Included Meals: Breakfast at the hotel.

RIDE INCLUSIONS & EXCLUSIONS

SECTION A: PACKAGE WITHOUT MOTORCYCLE

  1. Accommodation in hotels / camps / guest houses on double/triple sharing from start to end of your ride itinerary.

  2. Meals - breakfast and dinner starting from start to end of your ride itinerary.

  3. Services of the experienced trip leader and motorbike mechanic

  4. Services of the backup vehicle for a group of more than 5 motorcyclist / 2 suv cars /5 mtb riders

  5. First aid kit and oxygen cylinder at dispersal with the ride leader

  6. Assured inner line permits and ladakh union fee.

  7. A backup vehicle (suv/traveler/bolero camper) to carry your luggage and spare parts from day-1

  8. Facility to carry luggage in a vehicle restricted to 1 rucksack / duffle bag of 50-70 liters per motorbike. 

  9. Oxygen cylinder and basic first aid during the tour

  10. Evening bonfire (at places allowed & that are safe)

  11. Driver expenses/ toll tax/ fuel/ parking charges

 

SECTION B: PACKAGE WITH MOTORCYCLE

RIDE EXCLUSIONS:

  1. Gst 5%

  2. Adventure travel insurance

  3. Any airfare / rail fare other than what is mentioned in “inclusions.”

  4. Airport, railway station or bus stop pick up or drop.

  5. Personal expenses like telephone, laundry, tips and table drinks, etc.

  6. The cost of any spare part will be used due to the accidental damage incurred when the motorcycle /suv/mtb is in the rider’s possession.

  7. The cost incurred to transfer or tow the motorcycle /suv/ mtb in case it is dropped on the way.

  8. Motorcycle /suv/ mtb servicing or maintenance cost.

  9. Any extra lunch and other meals not mentioned in package inclusions

  10. Security deposit per motorcycle of rs. 10,000/-. As per the deposit policy (this is totally refundable at the end of the trip if there are no damage or spare parts used.)

  11. Security deposit per suv of rs. 25,000/-. As per the deposit policy (this is totally refundable at the end of the trip if there are no damage or spare parts used.)

  12. Security deposit for mtb of rs. 5,000/-. As per the deposit policy (this is totally refundable at the end of the trip if there are no damage or spare parts used.)

  13. Parking and monument entry fees during sightseeing.

  14. Any cost incurred due to extension, change of itinerary due to natural calamities, road, blocks, vehicle breakdown, union issues and factors beyond our control
